Founded in 1988 by two botany fanatics, Promonature works towards increasing understanding and respect for nature.

Gérard Ducerf, former organic farmer, gatherer of medicinal plants from their natural surroundings, is known in the world of botany at national and European level. A member of the Scientific Council of the Burgundy region, he works regularly for the French Ministry of the environment and many research departments.

Françoise Armand, botanist, gatherer of medicinal plants, is also the president of an educational environment association, and participates in the administration of the Conservatory of Burgundy's natural sites.
